Derek St. Holmes

Lead Singer, TED NUGENT

Derek St. Holmes

Lead Singer, TED NUGENT
It all began in 1974 when St. Holmes’ band Scott opened a gig for Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes. After seeing, and hearing, the young St. Holmes on stage, Nugent knew what was missing and invited Derek to join his band. Derek brought a strong set of pipes, solid musicianship and songwriting skills to Nugent’s music, and in March of 1975 the world was introduced to him via Nugent’s self-titled debut album. While it was Nugent slinging down the guitar licks, it was Derek’s voice all over FM radio singing the soon to be classics “Stranglehold,” “Stormtroopin” and “Just What the Doctor Ordered.” In addition, Derek wrote, arranged and sang the classic tune “Hey Baby.” Derek quickly became regarded as one of the best voices on the international rock scene, all at the tender age of 22 years old. Nugent and St. Holmes continued their winning combination for three more iconic albums, Free for All in 1976, Cat Scratch Fever in 1977 and Double Live Gonzo in 1978. St. Holmes left the band and formed St. Paradise with ex-Nugent bassist Rob Grange in 1979, releasing one album. St. Paradise never took off as hoped, but the in-demand St. Holmes quickly teamed up with Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford to form Whitford/St. Holmes. In 1981, they released the album Whitford/St. Holmes, which was produced by the legendary Tom Allom (Judas Priest, Krokus, Def Leppard, Loverboy). In 1984, St. Holmes lent his vocal skills to German guitarist Michael Schenker’s band, MSG, on the album Built to Destroy. Derek also continued his on again/off again relationship with Nugent in both the 1980s, and ‘90s, co-writing several songs on Ted’s comeback album Spirit of Wild in 1996. On July 4, 2000 Derek released his first solo album, after a quarter century in the music business. The critically acclaimed album, titled Then & Now featured songs that demonstrated the many facets of St. Holmes talents. After years of Nugent fans begging Ted for Derek’s return, St. Holmes was invited by the Motor City Madman in 2011 to once again take his place on the Nugent stage. Derek appeared on Nugent’s 2014 album ShutUp&Jam, singing the tune “Everything Matters.” In 2015, Derek wrote and recorded new music with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Brad Whitford and released the long awaited follow up to 1981’s Whitford/St. Holmes album. The Reunion album prompted a 2016 summer tour with the band White Snake. Derek is presently playing solo on a variety of Blues Tours and traveling with his own Band, The Derek St. Holmes Band and pleasing rock and roll fans throughout the US. Derek St. Holmes is a living testament to hard work and dedication. His voice remains as powerful as it was in 1974 when Nugent knew he had to snag him for his band. His guitar skills are equal to Nugent as well, a fact often overlooked due to his stellar vocals. St. Holmes’ abilities are surpassed only by his spirit and love of music.

Chris Jacobs is a host and television personality best known for his long-running automotive makeover show Overhaulin’ which premiered in 2004, and the hit TLC series Long Lost Family which debuted in 2016. He also serves as host for Mecum Auctions and as co-host of SEMA Live, both of which are seen on Motor Trend Network, as well as hosting Dream Collections, a show of his own creation that airs on MAVTV.

Jacobs was born and raised in the north suburbs of Chicago. In 1988 he made the move to California where he earned a degree in English from Whittier College and then a JD from Western State College of Law. After passing the 1995 California Bar Exam on his first try, his education was complete. It was then that he decided to pursue his dream of making it in the entertainment industry.

For eight years he achieved moderate success in Hollywood, finding roles in numerous movies and television shows as well as dozens of commercials. But it was in 2003 when he received his first big break, landing the hosting job on Overhaulin’. His first ever job as a host, Jacobs quickly realized that this was his comfort zone. He was much better suited to being a host than he was as an actor.

Overhaulin’ quickly became the most popular show in the automotive world, with legions of faithful fans tuning in every week. The success of the show was largely due to the talents of design legend Chip Foose and the easy going chemistry between Chip and Chris. Over the next 10 plus years and more than 100 episodes, Overhaulin’ has become one of the most venerable shows in the genre.

The exposure Chris received from Overhaulin’ opened many doors in the hosting world. Chris proved that he could host a variety of shows, including a 4 year run in the entertainment news world, where he served as a host and correspondent for The Insider and Entertainment Tonight from 2009-2012. He also has experience in radio, serving as a regular co-host for two years on the motorsports show SpeedFreaks.

Because of his popularity and familiarity on the network, Chris has become Discovery Channel’s go-to host for special live events. Jennie Garth

Actor
Jennie Garth skyrocketed to stardom with her role as Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 90210. The show became a ratings juggernaut, lasting 10 seasons, and remains one of the most successful and iconic television series ever produced. An avid designer, DIY-er, and decorator; In 2014 Jennie highlighted her experience in The Jennie Garth Project, a 10 part, HGTV Limited series that followed her as she personally designed and renovated a dated Hollywood Hills home for her family to live in. Other non-scripted shows include the 2012 reality series A Little Bit Country for CMT and the 2007 season of Dancing with the Stars, (where she made it through to the semi-finals). That same year Jennie added the title of author to her resume, releasing her memoir, Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde, she also starred in and Executive Produced the ABC Family comedy series Mystery Girls in which Jennie re-teamed with her 90210 alum, Tori Spelling. Jennie’s comedy debut was actually back in 2002, where she starred as the straight-laced sister of Amanda Bynes in the WB’s What I Like About You. The series concluded in 2006 after a four season run. 2019 was the year of nostalgia in American culture so Beverly Hills, 90210 fans got what they have been asking for, for a long time… a reboot of the iconic series. In response to the fan outpour, Jennie and long time BFF, Tori Spelling partnered to co-create BH90210: Not a traditional reboot but rather focusing on the original cast members of Beverly Hills, 90210 playing heightened, fictionalized versions of themselves. Fox ordered the series for a 6 episode summer special and the premiere episode garnered the top summer series debut in its demo since 2017. Jennie has starred in nineteen television movies over the years including the 2012 Lifetime film The Eleventh Victim (based on the best-selling novel by Nancy Grace) and in 2017 a Hallmark movie titled, A Time To Dance which was based on Karen Kingsbury’s #1 New York Times Bestselling novel. In 2021, Jennie starred 3 network television movies. Lifetime’s Summer of Secrets movie titled Left For Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story (based on a real story), Tubi TV’s titled Bad Influence and GACTV’s A Kindhearted Christmas. Jennie’s performance garnered her a 2022 Canadian Screen Awards nomination for Best Lead actress in a TV movie. Currently, Jennie and long time friend, Tori Spelling are in the 4th season hosting their iHeartRadio podcast lovingly titled 9021OMG! The podcast is a rewatch of every episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 from the very, very beginning and Jennie and Tori share their juicy behind the scenes memories from times on the show and enjoy the nostalgia of their life in the 90’s. New episodes are available every Monday and can be heard on Spotify, iHeart Radio app or Apple Podcasts. Jennie has long been an advocate for heart health, having been the national spokesperson for the American Heart Association’s ‘Go Red for Women’ and more recently her work in support of The Heart Foundation. The Heart Foundation’s mission is to save lives by educating the public about heart disease, promoting early detection, and supporting the research of world-renowned cardiologist Dr. P.K. Shah. Additionally, Jennie is a supporter of Kids Vision for Life, Stand Up To Cancer, Water 4 and Feeding America. Jennie currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, three daughters and five dogs.

The message has always been to stand for peace, love, and happiness. For legendary singer songwriter, FELIX CAVALIERE, making people feel good is primary to his illustrious 50-year career that includes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and Grammy Hall of Fame. Few artists can claim they defined a generation; FELIX CAVALIERE continues to remind us to keep listening for the world’s beauty. The classically trained pianist, born in Pelham, New York, idolized Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, and Sam Cook. FELIX CAVALIERE embraced the Hammond Organ and pioneered a fresh, rock and roll sound. Upon leaving Syracuse University to form the Escorts, and become a backup musician for Joe Dee and the Starliters and later Sandy Scott, who knew that his legendary next stop would be the beginning of an illustrious hall of fame career. Early in 1965, FELIX CAVALIERE formed the ‘Young Rascals’ with Dino Danelli, Eddie Brigati, and Gene Cornish. That October, they caught the attention of promoter/manager Sid Bernstein with their high-energy set at Long Island’s elite club, Barge. Signed to Atlantic Records, and now called The Rascals, the mega hit “Good Lovin’” struck No. 1 in February 1966. They followed suit with a string of hits like “I’ve Been Lonely Too Long,” “Groovin’(No. 1 in 1967), “How Can I Be Sure,” “A Girl Like You,” “A Beautiful Morning,” and “People Got to Be Free” (No. 1 in 1968). The Rascals are considered the best ‘blue-eyed soul’ group to come out of the 1960s, as well as one of the groups with the most record sales. By the early 70s, The Rascals experimented with more jazz-influenced sounds, and moved to Columbia Records. The Rascals disbanded in 1972. FELIX CAVALIERE’s solo career thrived during this decade. He released his self-titled debut album with Todd Rundgren at the producer helm. His follow-up albums were Destiny (1974), Castles in the Air (1979) (Castle in the Air produced another Top 40 hit – “Only a Heart Sees” reached No. 2), Dreams in Motion (1994) and in 2008 he collaborated with Stax guitar legend, Steve Crooper, on the Grammy-nominated Nudge it Up a Notch and again in 2010 with Midnight Flyer. Tim Nichols

Songwriter, Hall of Fame

Tim Nichols

Songwriter, Hall of Fame

With over two dozen smash hits, a Grammy, a CMA Award, and two ACM awards for Song of the Year, as well as being a member of the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame, Tim Nichols has earned his place among Nashville’s most elite and respected tunesmiths.

In 2004, along with Craig Wiseman, Nichols wrote Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying,” the multiple-week #1 smash that won every major song award that is presented for country music.

Other Nichols hits, “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” and “Cowboys and Angels” helped launch the careers of Jo Dee Messina and Dustin Lynch. Sony Music artist Chris Young stayed at the top of the charts for three weeks with the Nichols/Brett James composition “The Man I Want To Be.”

More recently, Cole Swindell put a new twist on the Jo Dee Messina, Heads Carolina classic by staying at the top of the country charts for 5 weeks and winning the 2023 Academy of Country Music Song of the Year Award with “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.”

Feeling the importance of giving back to the community and the music industry, Nichols is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Country Music Association and a current member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International Board of Directors. In addition, Nichols participates in The Warburton and The Rahm, two annual events that benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

When not on Music Row pursuing his next hit or entertaining crowds with his songs and stories, Tim can be found on keynote stages across the country, sharing what chart-topping songwriters know about creativity, collaboration, and teamwork so that companies, corporations, and businesses can be at the top of the charts in their own industries.

FELIX CAVALIERE calls Nashville home base, where he is constantly collaborating and writing new material. He’s also finishing his memoir and has an active tour schedule with FELIX CAVALIERE’S RASCALS. Visit FELIXCAVALIEREMUSIC.COM.
