Health and Safety Policy


To ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health’s current guidelines and in consideration of the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, vendors and staff, all Warburton evening events will take place outdoors in the Tennis Lawn of the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort. This includes the Thursday Songwriters Night, Friday Pairings Party and Rheneypalooza Jam and the Saturday Soiree.

We believe that ensuring a safe environment is everyone’s responsibility. Please help us by doing your part to contribute to the overall safety of The Warburton by adhering to the following health and safety protocols for the event weekend.

Upon arrival, all Warburton event attendees, volunteers, vendors and staff must register at the South Counter in the ballroom area (Thursday & Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday 2 p.m.- 6 p.m.) – and adhere to the following health screening:

  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 individuals, must have received their second dose of a two-dose vaccine series at least two weeks prior, or received a single-dose vaccine at least two weeks prior.


  • Have a negative Molecular/PCR COVID-19 test result that has been administered within 48 hours of the event or a negative Rapid Antigen COVID-19 test result that has been administered within 24 hours of the event. COVID-19 tests must be administered by a qualified healthcare provider or pharmacy. Home tests will not be accepted.

    • Reminder: All guests will need to provide proof of full vaccination OR a COVID-19 negative test result for entry. Tests results will need to be presented on the FIRST day you attend a Warburton evening event. For your convenience, we will be providing testing onsite, free of charge.
  • Wear a mask, except when eating or drinking, while you are inside the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort property. This includes event registration at the South Counter.
  • Be free of COVID-19 symptoms within 10 days of attending The Warburton Weekend, such as:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea

The Warburton has partnered with Bindle, to provide attendees faster entry. My Bindle is a free smartphone app that converts COVID-19 results into entry passes. Get ready for the event by downloading My Bindle and completing the one-time enrollment process to verify your entry requirement before arrival. The My Bindle app is safe, secure and free of charge. For the most efficient entry possible, we highly encourage all attendees to use My Bindle to confirm entry requirements prior to arrival and create an entry pass, under “The Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament.”

Our goal is to provide an efficient and quick health screening process. This requires your adherence to our health & safety protocols and processes. You will only be required to complete the health screening once, regardless of how many events you attend. Once you have completed the health screening at your first event, you will receive a badge for admission. This badge will be valid for access throughout the event weekend. Please do not remove it.


Whether you’ve had a complete course of vaccinations or are planning to take a COVID test, the first thing you need to do is download the Bindle app.

  1. Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device and search for “My Bindle.”
  2. After you download the app, set up an account on the Bindle app by providing a selfie, your email address and DOB. As a final step, you’ll be prompted to type in a verification code that is sent to your email.
  3. Upload your COVID-19 vaccination and COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (or lab/test results) by going to My Certificates on your Bindle and tap the “+” icon and follow the instructions.
  4. Once you’ve uploaded your digital health records (vaccine record or test results), go to My Passes on your Bindle and search for “The Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament.” Then, click Create Entry Pass and if you pass, you’ll be presented with an entry pass including your selfie, a QR code and an expiration date.
  5. When you arrive at the event, the staff will visually inspect your Entry Pass to verify your COVID-19 health status.

Q: Will physical copies of a vaccination card or negative test results be accepted?
A: For a quick and contactless check in, we encourage guests to use the My Bindle App to provide proof of vaccination or negative tests results. Physical copies will also be accepted.

Q: Will The Warburton event provide COVID-19 testing?
A: Yes, more information on available testing times and location will be shared later.

Q: What type of COVID-19 test will be accepted?
A: A Molecular/PCR COVID-19 test administered within 48 hours of the event or a Rapid Antigen COVID-19 test administered within 24 hours of the event will be accepted. Documentation must include the participant’s name, type of test performed and confirmation of both the negative result and date the test was administered.
